Israel's Future Repentance and Salvation

At the end of the 70th week of Daniel (commonly referred to as "The Tribulation"), the remnant of Israel will repent of their sins and turn to Jesus Christ.  He will come from heaven to rescue this remnant from the armies of the world who have gathered to destroy Israel.  Here's the link to this sermon. faithbible.org/sermons/past-present-and-future-significance-israel-plan-god-part-3

In this sermon I gave a few Old Testament passages that reveal Israel's future acceptance of the Messiah.  There is no point in history where these passages can said to have been fulfilled.  The fulfillment is yet future.

Here is a list of passages that teach Israel's future restoration.  The list is taken from Dwight Pentecost's book, "Things To Come" (504-5).  There are many other passages pointing to Israel's future repentance.  Pentecost lists these as examples.  At the end of the Tribulation, Israel will repent of her unbelief and turn to Christ.  These passages provide clear evidence that God is not finished with Israel.  The Church should not be thought of as replacing Israel in the plan of God.

(Isaiah 1:27) "Zion will be redeemed with justice, her penitent ones with righteousness."

(Isaiah 4:3-4) "Those who are left in Zion, who remain in Jerusalem, will be called holy, all who are recorded among the living in Jerusalem. The Lord will wash away the filth of the women of Zion; he will cleanse the bloodstains from Jerusalem by a spirit of judgment and a spirit of fire."

(Jeremiah 23:6) "In his days Judah will be saved and Israel will live in safety. This is the name by which he will be called: The Lord Our Righteousness."

(Jeremiah 24:7) "I will give them a heart to know me, that I am the Lord. They will be my people, and I will be their God, for they will return to me with all their heart."

(Jeremiah 31:33-34) "“This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after that time,” declares the Lord. “I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people. No longer will a man teach his neighbor, or a man his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest,” declares the Lord. “For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.”"

(Ezekiel 11:19) "I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them; I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh."

(Ezekiel 36:25-26) "I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh."

(Joel 2:32) "And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved; for on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will be deliverance, as the Lord has said, among the survivors whom the Lord calls."

(Micah 7:18-19) "Who is a God like you, who pardons sin and forgives the transgression of the remnant of his inheritance? You do not stay angry forever but delight to show mercy. You will again have compassion on us; you will tread our sins underfoot and hurl all our iniquities into the depths of the sea."

(Zephaniah 2:12-13) " “You too, O Cushites, will be slain by my sword.” He will stretch out his hand against the north and destroy Assyria, leaving Nineveh utterly desolate and dry as the desert."

(Zechariah 13:1) " “On that day a fountain will be opened to the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, to cleanse them from sin and impurity."

(Zechariah 13:9) "This third I will bring into the fire; I will refine them like silver and test them like gold. They will call on my name and I will answer them; I will say, ‘They are my people,’ and they will say, ‘The Lord is our God.’”"
