Greetings from the Philippines! I’m writing this morning from the Island of Palawan, a place of great significance to the Philippines and the United States. It was here that a small company of American soldiers escaped from a Japanese death squad in the First World War. It was here that two American missionaries were taken captive by Abu Saiaf terrorists in 2001 resulting in the death of New Tribes Missionary Todd Burnham.

Faith Bible Church has a long and special relationship with the missionaries and staff at Word of

Life in the Philippines. Our first work team came in 2002, with many additional teams helping in various stages of construction and ministry projects. I am delighted to be here with our current work team. Max and Carol Hunt arrived in mid-January. Harry Purdy, Kevin Kane and Sam Kerunsenko left with me on February 6.

The Lord has truly blessed during the past 2 weeks! I am just getting ready for a few hours of rest before flying out early Monday morning, Philippine time. With the time change, my flight arrives in Philadelphia at 2 PM, Monday afternoon.

My first visit here was in 2005. Since then, I have travelled here eight times, most often with FBC members on work teams. The experiences of teaching, working and ministering to local pastors has given me a great love for the Philippine people. The Lord has used Faith Bible Church to have a very important partnership in spreading the gospel and strengthening the body of Christ in the Philippines. 

The horrors of new-born children being murdered after they survived an abortion are even more horrific than we originally discovered. Read this article from Family Research Council to learn of the despicable details, and their implication.

Wow, 19 days flew by quickly! This has been a profitable time of teaching and encouragement. I have been truly blessed by the students, missionaries and pastors. During this time....
• Spent time with 5 FBC missionary families (Fogle, Arcedera, David James, Yoshito and Isako Kato, Kazu and Amy Kato.
• Taught a total of 47 lesson hours: two Hermeneutics conferences, two Discipleship conferences, two Bible Institute courses on Pastoral Epistles and Pastoral Leadership.
